Ape:X Play Test

Ape:X is a *highly* asymmetrical, Kaiju themed strategy board game. Each Kaiju has different stats, which also change through the course of the game as each player decides how their Kaiju grows and mutates. One player does not control a Kaiju, but instead controls humanity as they work to complete their research that would allow them to create their own Kaiju- an Ape: test subject “x”. (Ape:X)
Ape:X is a completely SOLO project. I have been working on it in my spare time for the better part of four years. For my  day job I work as an artist and illustrator, so now that the ruleset is feature complete and into numbers adjustments, I am allowing myself to begin the artwork as well.
The play through and instructional videos are in production as of this writing and are estimated to be available near the end of May, possibly into June of 2026, dependent upon the completion of finished prototypes.
